The weekend has started........

Finally, 3 days of rest. arghhh....its been a long week. Actually just three working days but still long enough. I never realise how much dance music I have been listening to until today. I learn that when listening to the new 4 hour live Essential Mix from the global gathering in UK featuring Fatboy Slim, Deep Dish, Tiesto and Ferry Corsten today. I think you have listen to too much when you know the titles of 8 out of 10 song that are being played. Fatboy was great. Deep Dish was kicking, Tiesto who played after Deep Dish started pretty housey and got trancey. Ferry was his usual self. Anyway...forget it. Not important. Check out Fatboy Slim in the video from Rockness in Scotland. New remix of 'Right Here Right Now' I believe. PS: CK: This is HOUSE HOUSE HOUSE HOUSE

If you have to go,
Don't say good bye,
If you have to go,
Don't you cry
If you have to go,
I will get by
I will follow you and see you on the other side.

Crazy day at work......disposition gone bad

Got my first real scare at work today. One of the lots I was handling misprocessed. Had to do a bunch of extra work to fix it and its still not fixed. Darn it.....!

Anyway.... Gnarl Barkley's Crazy is the video for today. I expect it to be all over the airwaves but I think its a pretty sweet tune.Enjoy

I'm awake, You're still sleeping, The sun will rise like yesterday, Everything that we are now, Is everything we can't let go or will be gone forever, far away I hope tomorrow is like today.

This is so disturbing,.....

I was surfing the internet for some interesting stuff to put in here considering that my blog traffic has been rather static. Anyway, I did a quiz on what kind of alcohol person I am. So here is what I got.

You Are Absinthe
You are a borderline alcoholic, purposely so
If drinking doesn't make you feel crazy, it's not any fun
Truth be told, you tend to prefer drugs to drinking
But you'd never pass up any absinthe that came your way!

Its freaky how some part of what the site suggest is kinda true yet other part are what I would consider my worst nightmare. Oh well....what does a website. I'm not so much an absinthe person. I'm more of a Chivas guy!! Pass the Chivas.

Got a new playlist for this week. Sorry for being so random with the posting dates but been rather busy with work. Might be even more sporatic after this.

I had a dream last night........

Last night I had a dream that I lived in a speaker,
And the sky was the smoked filled room in Ibiza,
The sun was a crystal ball shining 24 hours a day,
My air was the winds of the woofers bouncing off the wall,
My soul was the spirit of all the children dancing,
My rain was the sweat that rolled of their faces,
My lightning was the strobe that filled the room like a tropical storm,
This is my world,
This is my planet,
On my planet bass was my day and kick was my night,
Rhythmatic interludes of percussion were my four seasons,
On my planet I could see constellations of children dancing,
On my planet House is the religion and God is a DJ,
On my planet there is peace,
On my planet there is love,
On my planet there are no wars or rumour of wars,
On my planet there are no drugs or politicians,
This is my world,
This is my planet,
And my planet rocks!

I never meant to be political in my blog posting but I feel strongly that I should go on record and say that 'Israel reaction to the Lebanon issue is out of proportion' and the 'UPM bullying issue is a piece of bullsh*t'. The later issue has particularly hit me in the wrong spot. I am fine with all the 'undercounter' - behind the backboards - 'rules' that are somewhat on the borderline of being racial discrimiation but this is just too much. I don't have all the fact so if you know something I don't please do tell. Anyway, hope to hear more being done to both these issues.

On a better note, great song by Saint Etienne called SideStreet featured below. Cheers

Back to work slave

Going back to work tomorrow. Just a little update before that. For all you trance junkies, you should check out the Essential Mix this week. Its featuring the multi-talented Max Graham from Canada. Decent mix. Video below is from Caesar Palace. Wanted to put it up a while but never found a good time. I guess this time is as good as any so let "Jerk It Out".

Back to basics

Seems like I have been getting some beef about not playing 'housey' or 'trancey' enough song. I'm sure I will not have complains for the song below. Hope you like it. Its Marcel Wood's Advanced. A little on the outdate side but still getting airwaves. I believe its was the anthem for 2006's Trance Energy in Holland. Let me know what you think. Cheers.

Afterhours

New video: Ian Pooley - Coracao Tambor. Its the best after-work, after-party, after-school or after anything tune I know. If you know another song like this you got to let me know. Also if you can translate what they are saying that would be good too. Cheers and enjoy.

Fitness test

FYI, I got a C for my fitness test at work. I guess I can't pretend to be 'fit' anymore. On to better news, new track below by Hard-Hi. The title is Hard To Beat. Great alternative type song. Its not like the whiny commercial nonsense you get on the radio. The video is a little soft so you might need to turn it up. I particularly like the chorus. PS: You need to click play.
You Know I Love Ya

World Cup Round Up: The final four

I must say it is quite interesting to see that the last four nations left in the World Cup are from Europe. The quarterfinals has been interesting and I believe the teams that played better in each match won. I am kind of sad that Argentina lost out to Germany but I don't think they made the right changes towards the end of the game. Considering overall performance, I don't think Italy or France should be in the final four but they did have impressive displays in the quarterfinals. My new pick for the world cup is Germany followed by Portugal but don't rely too much on me since the three teams I picked out (Argentina, Netherlands and Czechs) are all out of the competition.

Earning Respect 101

Earning respect can be simpler than you think, see my top 10 ways below. Let me know which one you liked best or if you disagree with any of it.

  1. Refuse a slut.
  2. Appreciate her body but compliment her wit.
  3. Learn something about other cultures.
  4. Praise in public, critise in private.
  5. Stay sober when no one would blame you for drinking.
  6. Become what you told people you always wanted to be.
  7. When some idiot says "Ugh, you actually like that." Say "YES"
  8. Do the dirty work required. Don't take the short cut
  9. Be multilingual. It could be spanish or the secret language of electric circuits.
  10. Risk being hated for doing the right thing.
